Woodsman Character Sketch

The Woodsman is a very important character to the forest. The ways that he helps the forest are: mends the forest when damaged, heals the trees with magic, he defends the the forest from the dangerous animals and by doing that the forest helps him when he’s in danger-protection for protection-.to recap the woodsman heals the tees with magic, defends the forest from animal that want to harm it, those are the reasons why I think he’s important to the forest.

Those are the reasons The Woodsman is important to the forest. The Woodsman is strong by  fighting wolves, powerful by out running wolfs with his tall legs and helps the forest in many ways by healing it’s wounds and defending it against dangerous animals. Jon Kelly should be proud to make such a righteous and strong character. As The Woodsman says “ … the world is your own ….” (253).

The Knot

The London downpour was like a blanket of rain. As the taxi stopped to drop off a customer, an extremely  tall man came charging down the lane towards the taxi. He hopped in without a word.

“Where you headed?” The driver asked.

“The Calais ferry port,” the man replied, lighting his pipe. Smoke from the pipe drifted out of the window.

After an hour they arrived at the ferry terminal, the man got out and paid his fare. The woman who managed the ticket booth politely welcomed him. “Enjoy your ride, Mr. Edward.”

“I will,”  replied William as he glanced down at the time stamp on his ticket: 2/20/1951. He didn’t really need to confirm the date. He had a photographic memory and could recall information at will.

Walking aboard, William heard a loud American man crudely educating everyone on the boat about his experience in the stock market crash in 1929. As William started to go to the north side, the smell of the south side and cigarette intoxicated him.  Edward sat down and took off his hat.

Then almost immediately he sprang up as a loud scream echoed  through the boat. William sprinted towards the source, arriving at the scene in a matter of seconds  and hitting his head on a low hanging beam. He crumpled to the floor. He sat up and cursed. That’s when he saw a  mangled body of one the male passengers. Suspended in a waterfall of blood, with boat rope holding him up tied in an advanced complicated knot. The ropes were crossed across his chest and tied to a beam on the ceiling.

A Stormy Night

We used the following story for editing purposes.

The rain was falling heavily. The driver had to be careful, driving on wild nights like these. The last thing you’d want is to have an accident. The noises of the windscreen wipers were hypnotic. He stared out into the glow of the headlights. The rain was white noise as it battered the car.

Through the wash of the rain he spotted a figure at the side of the road. The person had their thumb out. Why on earth would anyone be hitchhiking tonight? He signalled down and pulled over. The hitchhiker climbed in and shut the door. He pulled his hood back and sighed. He was quite young.
