William Blake Poetry Photo

This is my photo of William Blake’s poem “Night”

The reason why I chose this photo was because in the first line in the poem it says  “The sun descending in the west” and as you can see this photo is of the sun slowly descending.  In the second line, he also says  “The birds are silent in their nest” obviously you cannot hear the photo but during the photo, it was very quiet and peaceful.

Chip and Kobe a Murder Mystery

Kobe and Cale friendly names but being friendly doesn’t fit their personality. The men are twins, their birthdate April 13, 1519. Cale was an average boy growing up but he had a temper when someone agitated him he would snap, but for the most part, he was a good kid. Kobe, on the other hand, was a serious troublemaker as a kid he was always picking fights and getting into trouble. Even as a 16-year-old Kobe got sentenced for manslaughter. Both of them went on to live average lives after their troubled childhood they both passed away on the same day on July 13.
Then one-day people had been getting worried because two masked men had been going around telling people all the murders that will happen. The people would then call the police but the police wouldn’t do anything about it, it was almost like they’re in on it. They would first talk about children that would be murdered in the near future, then they would be talking about teenagers, then seniors. Then on June 29, there had been a murder it was a young child and his parents, it was a rural town. The police had tried to figure out the case they took 1 year and they couldn’t find the murderer, the people in the town were furious, they thought the police weren’t trying. But the one strange thing about that murder there was beef scattered around the murder site. More people had been told by the two masked men that this time famous people would be murdered almost every celebrity increased their security. This time on January 24th an up and coming rapper named 12 smalls had been murdered in a drive-by shooting, but the odd part was there was kale left on the crime scene. People started to believe that it was the two masked men, but the police thought otherwise the police needed more evidence to start accusing people of the murders. Then the biggest murder of them all the legendary free safety for the Washington Redskins Sean Taylor had been found dead in his home in Miami on July 28. He was a legendary American football player. But again there had been food left at the crime scene this time beef and kale. The police were making a connection because Kobe and Cale are sometimes used as male names, what if the men were named Kobe and Dale? They talked to a lot of people and they talked to this one elderly man that said his great-great-grandfather had told him about these two troubled children. He said one of the boys was an average kid but the other one was a complete maniac, their names were Kobe and Cale. But wait a minute these people existed nearly 500 years ago how could they still be around? Must it have been a mistake in the story right? The police went on forever investigating all of the cases, and they believe that Chip and Kobe from the 1500’s are still alive! They found DNA on the dead bodies. The police spent years looking for them, they went everywhere yet they still couldn’t find them. The police then found their dead bodies in their home exactly 10 years after their first murder.

David’s Father : A Character Sketch

David’s father makes bad decisions.  He is constantly forced to choose between David and Rose.  Which side will David’s father be on?  It is hard to tell his next move; so will he be on Rose’s side or David’s side?  David’s father told David, once his mother had died, that they would stick together.  Nevertheless, then David’s father marries the nurse that “helped” David’s mother in her final stages of life.  In the middle of all of this, Georgie arrives on the scene.

David’s life becomes even more difficult for him when Rose and his father introduce this little person, Georgie.  David; just like any other child when they have a little brother or sister, felt like he wasn’t getting much attention.  Georgie was tough on Rose difficult to deal with for the whole family because Rose and David’s father weren’t getting enough sleep. So, they were grumpier in the day and David was in even more trouble.  I don’t agree with any of David’s father’s decisions because he remarried right after his wife’s death and he had another baby right away while David was not feeling well about all this.

Now David’s father at a low point. He becomes angry easily and David gets in trouble very often.  He had a huge fight with Rose and told her that he didn’t want her there.  David then, in big trouble from his father because he and Rose never really were able to be friendly towards each other,. His father then locked him in his room for a while and took away all his books. David was extremely bored.

David’s father did not make the smartest decisions in this book if he wanted to keep David happy.  David’s father and Rose ended up parting ways.  David’s father didn’t see Georgie much after they split up; partly because Georgie ended dying in war.

Précis writing: The Stormy Drive

                                                            The rain was pouring.
It simulated driving through a curtain of water. The thwack-thwack of the windscreen wipers

was hypnotic. He was reminded of the opening scenes of a Hitchcock film.

Through the rain he spotted a person with their thumb out. Why on earth would anyone be hitchhiking tonight? He signalled and      pulled over. The hitchhiker climbed in and shut the door quickly.

‘Awful night.’ said the driver.
‘Yes. Yes it is.’

Drops of water trickled down the hitchhiker’s face .The stranger glanced over his shoulder into the   darkness behind them.

‘What’s your name?’ asked the driver.

     ‘Friends call me Si.’

They drove on. The BBC radio blared out.

‘Where are you heading?’ asked the driver.
‘North.’ The hitchhiker replied.
‘Where, exactly?’
‘Just north…’

Impact Statement

A thin layer of frost covered all surfaces as far as his eyes could see.  Troy Stecher knew from a young age he needed to be the best out on the ice.  He knew from a young age he would need to be fast and strong because size did not come to him naturally.

He was 13 when it happened it seemed like life flashed before his eyes.  He was taking the puck around the boards with his head down, and all of sudden this 13-year old that was 6 feet tall came out of nowhere and smoked him.  The last thing Troy remembered was getting carried off the ice on a stretcher.

The War Over a Baseball Bat

April 2 1950, George Rawlings entered this world.  Little did his parents know he would become one of the most famous people in baseball history.  George was born and raised on a big farm in Milagro, New Mexico.  His love of America’s pastime was visible since a young age.  He grew up cheering for the LA Dodgers (which is the closest team to Las Vegas).  At the age of 16, George’s love of baseball motivated him to be a part of the game.  He was never good enough to make it to the big leagues, so he decided to start making baseball bats one summer.

He planted a few trees and watered them every day.  He then chopped the trees down whittled them with a knife then sandpaper, and shaped them into baseball bats which he then sold to people in his town.  He became so popular, it attracted the attention of the LA Dodgers and they asked him to make some bats for the Dodgers’ players to use.  He made them and shipped them to LA for the Dodgers.  A couple months later, the Dodgers called again.  They wanted more bats because all the players had broken their bats. He told them he didn’t have anymore because he was too busy with all his orders.  The Dodgers became really angry because they didn’t have anymore bats to use.  The Dodgers told all their fans to attack George because he didn’t have their bats.  The Dodgers even took their case to court!  While George got heckled about the bats, the Dodgers lost the case and were told to stop heckling him or they would receive jail time.
George fell in love with his business, so he decided to make it bigger and better by hiring workers to help him make the bats.  More MLB teams started using his bats and they loved his products so much, they requested him to make gloves and cleats as well. Soon his product became the most popular baseball brand there is.  As George grew old and he couldn’t run the business, he passed it down to his son.  By 2030 George had passed away, but his legacy will always be remembered in the baseball world.

Another Moment in Time

house of the scorpionMatt was running for Aztlan from Dreamland; he was running to go see Maria.

Matt’s 13 year-old mind was going crazy.  He looked around and saw a big horse and then he saw a man on the horse.  He was a big, tall man with muscles like mountains! Matt then realized it was the farm patrol chasing him.  The farm patrol roam the oasis and turn anybody into eejits that try to illegally cross borders.  He was sprinting through the oasis which borders Dreamland and Aztlan.

The farm patrol was getting really close. If he was caught, he would be turned into an eejit!  His emotions were stressed, excited and worried.  His adrenaline was pumping through his body at the speed of light!  Matt is the only one running from the farm patrol, so nobody can help him escape.  The farm patrol is on Matt’s tail!  The farm patrol officer reached out and got a hold of Matt’s bag but Matt managed to slip out of the bag straps and dash to the border.

At last, he was free!  The Beekeepers were there to help him catch his breath and settle into what he thought would be his forever home.

Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew”

Induction Scenes I and II

In the induction, we meet a drunk beggar named Christopher Sly, who is arguing with the Hostess of an Alehouse over glassware he has broken in his drunken state. Sly leaves but soon passes out, where he is discovered by a lord returning from the hunt. This lord decides to have a bout of fun and orders his servants to take Sly back to his house and treat him as if he were the lord: put him to bed, place rings on his fingers and prepare a banquet for him. The confusion that follows not only provides excellent comedy, but also introduces important topics in the play: the roles of class, gender, and marital status (normally set in stone) in the play become matters of appearance and perception.

Antz What Is The Problem

The Problem In Antz?

Personally, I think the problem in Antz is that there is a dictator (just like Kim Jong Un) and nobody has any control of what they do. At birth, the dictator chooses what you do for the rest of your life; plus if you have a problem with what you’re given as a job. From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like it’s going to go down well, but I’m not 100 percent sure because I haven’t seen the full movie. One of the biggest problems with the civilization is that there are very depressed people like Zee that are depressed and don’t know what to do with their life. The reason why that’s a problem is because of dictator’s usually only care about themselves and not anyone else. One of the best things to have in a country is happy residents, in my opinion. Another thing that they could improve on in the civilization is they should not have a hierarchy of people that are important I think everybody should be treated the same.
