The concept, setting, plot, characters and “script” are entirely the creation and result of the collaborative efforts of the Grade 3 to 5 students themselves.  Lack of a formal script and marginal teacher intervention means that ‘organised’ chaos prevails!

Characters: M.O.O.S.E  (Noah), Nerdy Kid (Graham), Robot Teacher (Daniella), Flying Kid (Oliwier), The Normal  Kid (Mark), Rebel Kid (San), gopher (Mr dB)

Plot:  Everyone’s sitting and doing their work and one kid sees the M.O.O.S.E (Minister of Outer Space Education). “The M.O.O.S.E is coming”, and the kids all go crazy when he enters. They start throwing their paperwork and make them into paper airplanes and start jumping on desks. The robot teacher tells them to stop and tries to clam them down, but they simply pull the batteries out of her back.

The M.O.O.S.E is shocked and demands that the kids sit down. Right after they sit down,  the bell rings and the kids scamper to the lunchroom. The M.O.O.S.E follows the kids, angry.  When the kids leave, Normal Kid puts the batteries back on his teacher’s back. Then Normal Kid leaves his classroom and the teacher follows him.

When the teacher gets to the lunchroom, there is chaos.  Nobody can find the butter. Eventually they find it in the microwave and then have lunch.

M.O.O.S.E. almost gets hit by a ball, just blocking it with his notepad.  He is pretty upset at this point and announces that lunch is over! If they want to play with a ball, they need to go to the gym.

In the gym, there is space wrestling.  Finally, the M.O.O.S.E. is happy and makes a big check mark on his notepad.  He leaves, the teacher heaves a sigh of relief and announces that “all’s well that ends well”.

THE END (we think …)
